Meet me in the Lilac Garden...

Good evening from rainy, cold, and dark California! I was looking around the net for inspiration and came upon a photo of one of my absolute favorite ladies of all time: Former ballerina and actress Audrey Hepburn. I LOVE this photo and immediately rushed off with my inspiration. My look came out a touch more lilac than pink, but that's what I wanted (I don't look as good in pinks.) Here you are!

About this look:

It's so soft and pretty. The ultimate feminine flirty look, in my opinion! Soft blending on the eyeshadow is a must. I also went a little bit heavier on the highlight eyeshadow (Silk) than usual, to give a more bright, lifted look. The hints of shimmer all around keep things enchanted and soft. The liner is not the usual black--too harsh for this!--but I dampened my eyeliner brush and mixed a deep dark violet with a soft plum to go over the upper and lower lash lines. The soft line of lilac glitter liner rounds everything out and looks perfect for a day (or night) out. The lips are natural and soft, no liner here! You don't want to define the shape too much, as this look is all about softness. I smudged my eyeliner lightly with a brush to make sure it wouldn't appear too harsh. Flirty!
